Why $14.99, and why it holds. A full turn of conversation — you speak, Ellie answers,
corrects and translates — costs about a tenth of a cent to run, measured on the live
service rather than estimated. Someone practising an hour a day, every day, for a month uses
roughly $4.05 of that. So even that heaviest learner leaves 73% of the price as
margin, an ordinary one leaves 97%, and a member who used it for an hour and a half every

$14.99 is billed monthly and can be cancelled any time. There is no free tier: the price is the same from your first day to your thousandth.
